MWH Global Signs Deal With Southern Water

News: US-based wet infrastructure company MWH Global signed a strategic solutions provider deal to oversee and devise UK-based water supply company Southern Water's GBP1.6bn (USD2.7bn) investment programme from 2015 to 2020. The deal, estimated to be worth between GBP100mn (USD168.49mn) and GBP200mn (USD336.97mn), requires MWH to determine whether or not new water infrastructure projects in the UK are necessarily the best solution and support projects from definition, up to and including, outline design. According to the deal, MWH will also directly oversee work for the AMP6 spending period, which is out to tender. The tender for the work will be split between pipeline infrastructure and a separate arrangement for water, wastewater and pumping station building works.
